J. Benchoff, Esquire
Andrew (A.J.) Benchoff partnered with Don Kornfield
in the firm Kornfield and Benchoff, LLP, on February
6, 2004. Kornfield and Benchoff, LLP is a general practice firm. A.J. focuses his legal work on real estate
and business transactions and civil and orphan's court litigation. He prepares wills, powers of attorney and living wills and settles estates. He also represents clients with regard to zoning and other land use matters before municipal governments throughout Franklin County, and simple divorce matters. Presently, A.J. is the Solicitor for the Franklin County Board of Assessment and Revision of Taxes and the Franklin County Redevelopment Authority.
A.J. received his B.A. in political science, graduating magna cum laude, in 1999
from Mount Saint Mary's College, now Mount Saint Mary's
University. He attended law school at the Dickinson
School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University and obtained
his Juris Doctor in 2002. He was admitted to the Bar
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in October 2002, and
is a member of the Franklin County, Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
A.J. has been a life-long resident of the Waynesboro area, and graduated in 1995 from the Waynesboro Area Senior High School. He is a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ. He previously served on the Board of the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library, the Board of the Waynesboro YMCA, the Consistory of Trinity United Church of Christ and was Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Franklin County Bar Association from 2006 through 2009. He earned his Eagle Scout in 1993 and also served on the Waynesboro Borough Council in 2004 and 2005. Presently, A.J. is on the Board of Directors for Renfrew Museum and Park. .
